EnviroStraw is proud to announce the upcoming launch of our Biochar-enhanced hydromulch formulation—a major step forward in performance-based revegetation and soil regeneration.
This innovation is the result of more than ten years of dedicated research, field trials and technical refinement. Our journey with Biochar began in 2012, with early investigations into its soil health benefits. By 2015, we had already begun applying Biochar in hydromulch during major infrastructure projects, including the South Walker Creek water diversion rehabilitation.
Now, after years of development and validation across diverse site conditions, we’re preparing to bring this next-generation solution to market.
Built on long-term research and performance
Our R&D team has spent over a decade studying how Biochar interacts with soil systems in the real world. Working alongside soil scientists, agronomists and field contractors, we’ve explored Biochar’s role in:
- Improving soil structure and porosity
- Supporting plant resilience in tough environmental conditions
- Enhancing microbial diversity for long-term soil regeneration
- Increasing moisture retention, particularly in disturbed or carbon-depleted soils
This extensive body of work has underpinned the careful development of a hydromulch formulation that is both high-performing and consistent in application.
What to expect from our Biochar-enhanced hydromulch
Launching soon, our new formulation will offer:
- Improved soil structure for faster and more reliable vegetation establishment
- Superior moisture retention to help plantings survive in dry or degraded conditions
- Boosted microbial activity to support natural regeneration of soil health over time
- Proven results based on real-world testing and validation across a range of environments
Our development team has worked meticulously to ensure the formulation delivers measurable benefits without compromising on ease of application or compliance requirements.
The EnviroStraw approach
Every product we develop is grounded in science and shaped by practical input from professionals in the field. Our Biochar-enhanced hydromulch reflects this philosophy—representing a deliberate, well-tested progression in our commitment to soil science, environmental restoration and innovation.
