The challenge
The challenge arose in growing out-of-season grass species on poor-quality loam soil. Confronted with these conditions, achieving successful germination and growth seemed like an uphill battle.
The solution
EnviroStraw presented a winning solution—BFM Complete. After undertaking proper seedbed preparation, the contractor applied BFM Complete at the minimum recommended rate of 3500kg/ha. Additionally, an irrigation system was installed to support the growth process.
The results
While the grass faced initial slow germination due to adverse climatic conditions, the diligent contractor closely monitored the site. With the ability to adjust the irrigation and watering program accordingly, progress was made. In less than 90 days, a full cover of thriving grass became evident, showcasing the successful outcome of the project.
